This material has seen such radical expansion for the 3rd edition that Sacred Cacti now exists as three volumes:
Part A Sacred Cacti 3rd edition (508 pages to be published as soon as the available resources permit.)
Part B San Pedro (312 pages for the B&W; 392 pages for the limited edition color version)
Part C Cactus Alkaloids (to be published in 2008).
San Pedro has been updated to reflect the acquisition of many obscure papers.
It has also been greatly enlarged with hundreds of photos to help enable the reader better recognise, or at least understand, what they may encounter in horticulture or in the field.
This book is presently the single most comprehensive and detailed review & reference compendium that exists concerning the San Pedro cactus (Trichocereus pachanoi) and its relatives.
